Claim your domain to simplify the onboarding of new users

As Owner or Admin of your organisation, you have the possibility to claim domains (e.g. deepbox.swiss) for your organisation. By proving that you are the owner of a domain via DNS entry, you can ensure that all new users with an email address of the corresponding domain (e.g. max.muster@deepcloud.swiss) are automatically added to your organisation.

Verifying a domain offers you the following advantages:

- By linking your organisation to specific domains, the Boxes become more accessible to new users of your organisation.

- With the domains claimed, people with email addresses in those domains can easily join your organisation. During account creation, new users will see the notice that they are being added to your organisation automatically. This speeds up the entire Onboarding process.

- By claiming domains, you can reduce the administrative burden of setting up new users.

Verify your domain using DNS:

Note: You must be Owner or Admin of your organisation and the organisation must be using the Large Subscription plan.

1. Go to DeepBox Admin > Organisation and create a new domain verification.

2. Enter your domain and click save

         1. In this step you can also select the groups, where newly registered users should be added to automatically.

3. You will now see the TXT token for your DNS record

4. Go to your DNS host and find the settings page for adding a new record.

5. Select the option to add a new record and paste the TXT token in the Value field (can be called Answer or Description).

6. Your DNS record can contain the following fields:

         1. Record Type: Enter 'TXT'.

         2. Name/Host/Alias: Leave the default (@ or empty)

         3. Time to live (TTL): Enter '86400'

7. Save the entry.

8. Return to Deepbox Admin > Organisation and click 'Check Domain'.

Depending on your DNS host, it may take up to 1 hour for your domain to be verified and the DNS changes to take effect.
